Go to bed with anyone, except mites, that is!

Hopefully we haven't offended anyone with the title, after all, your bed, your rules, but let's get a little closer to what it's actually like with these mites today. And with allergies. Feathers. And all that. Quite often there are opinions that down feather products are definitely not suitable for allergy sufferers, but we would like to disprove this misconception once and for all.

How is it then?

It should be remembered that feathers themselves are usually not an allergen.

This can be dust, bacteria or mites, which can theoretically settle on them, but the feathers themselves very rarely. Mites can take up residence in synthetic blankets just the same. If you take basic careof our down quilts and pillows and air them regularly, you can easily reduce the incidence of dust mites to a minimum.

At the same time, let's face it, it's mainly us that the mites like.

Their food consists not of feathers, but mainly of creatine in the peeling flakes of skin. Therefore, they do not have the need to actively seek feathers. They are interested in the flakes of our skin, which also adhere to clothes, carpets and so on. . Feathers are not a sought-after food. At the same time, the presence of mites in bedding is not even technically possible.

The fabric we use is so densely woven that mites have no chance of getting through. There is no risk of down feather leaking out, but there is also no risk of mites invading internally.

Regularly ventilated and maintained down fillers are not a lucrative destination for mites. There are also a large number of anti-mite products on the market, but we advocate caution when using them, the most important thing is that the feathers do not have a chance to get wet in the first place, and that their properties are not compromised.

Goose down feathers above all!

It would be a great shame to deny yourself sleeping in down quilts and pillows. They have a fantastic and unquestionable ability to wick away body moisture while maintaining body temperature even in cold environments. The insulating properties of feathers are indisputable.

If you take the very basic care of them,, which consists in letting them air out regularly, not exposing them to the sun or frost or any mechanical stress, then there is really nothing to worry about.

Investing in quality down feather fillers is an investment for life, but above all it is an investment in you and your quality of sleep. And that's what this is about. For today's world, the best thing is to get a good night's sleep!
